I know this site has become dilapidated.

I already have a new design 90% done & coded. Still trying to decide on a back-end. Keep Wordpress, Tumblr, Posterous, custom Rails app, wait for Harmony CMS? I promise I will decide soon, I don’t know how much longer I can look at this stale loaf.

Yes, that’s right. Marianne and I (Bruno too) are moving out of Cincinnati to New York City! Marianne recently accepted a new position and account with her current agency, Momentum Worldwide, operating out of their NYC office in Soho. This was an opportunity we could not pass up, as we both have always had aspirations of moving out of Cincy to a big city. Great news for me is that my current employer, Barefoot, was more than happy to keep me on board, so I will continue to work for them remotely from New York.

The plan is for the move to take place in June, pending the sale of both of our houses. (Drop me a line if you know anyone looking in the Oakley/Hyde Park area) At this point, we have no clue where we’ll live in New York. Definitely somewhere South of Midtown, or possibly Brooklyn, and not New Jersey. If you have any opinions or insight of where to live please let me know.

These next couple months are going to be insane, but will all be worth it once we are settled in the Big Apple and get to continue on with this exciting new chapter of our lives.

Last Friday a bunch of friends and I were out celebrating my birthday at the historical Grammer’s in Over The Rhine. Grammer’s was having a celebration of the 75th aniversary of the Repeal of Prohibition that night which coincidentally shares the date of December 5th with me. We’ve got several photos taken of us that are in a gallery on Metromix-Cincinnati. Don’t ask me why I always have ridiculous looks on my face in pictures, I can’t help it.

I put together a video of pics from the pub crawl I planned this past Spring. This was the first time I’ve used iMovie to create anything. It is a very intuitive and easy to use application, I would definitely recommend it to any novice producers out there. There are definitely some limitations that I felt using iMovie, so I’m going to give Final Cut Express a go for my next production. I’ve been looking around for a hand held video recorder and am thinking about picking up a Flip Mino. I’d love to get something that records HD, but that just isn’t in the budget right now.

While doing some grooming of my music library and updating the contents of my DLPs over the past weekend I saw this in my iTunes sidebar, and I thought It’d be nice to share. Some call it an obsession, some call it fanboyism, and I think it is just awesomeness. (But probably more of the first two)

I know I have been absent from the blogosphere for some time now. Shortly after making the move to Barefoot I also had another rather large change in my life in that I am now a single man for several months now. I’m not going to go into any details here, but I can tell you that I feel like a changed person and am extremely happy.

I was going to go into many more details here about what’s been going on in my life, but I think just getting this posted will help me get the ball rolling again with much more regular postings and updates.
