Barefoot is Hiring

Monday, June 25th, 2007

My new employer Barefoot is looking to add another member to our Interactive Development team. We are seeking an Web Application Developer to fill the following position:

Barefoot has an immediate opening for a Web Application Developer. We’d like you to have 3+ years experience developing database-driven, dynamic web sites. We’re strong in a number of technologies, the primary ones being Ruby on Rails, C#.NET, and PHP. You need to be very strong in one of them, and if you’ve got experience in a second, bonus points. You’ve also got to be at least comfortable with client-side Web development (JavaScript, CSS, XHTML), although that won’t be the main part of your job. You’ll receive excellent benefits and a salary commensurate with your experience.

I’ve only been with Barefoot for a couple weeks now, but I can tell you that it is a very exciting and creative environment to work in. If you fit the bill and are looking to build some slick web apps please apply.

Changes In Latitudes, Changes In Attitudes

Today is my last day working for Tellus. A couple weeks ago I accepted a position as UI Developer for the interactive department at Barefoot, an Advertising & Marketing agency here in Cincinnati.

This is quite a big move for me as I have been working at Tellus for almost three years now. Tellus will be missed as I have gained much knowledge, experience and friendships there. I am however über-excited about starting my new job at Barefoot. I will be working on a wider variety of site types and user- experiences, which will be a much welcomed change for me. I believe this opportunity will prove to be very challenging and will be great environment me to progress and enhance my skills.

Before I start my new position I will be taking a much needed vacation. This afternoon I will be flying out to San Francisco, CA with my sister Rebecca and my parents. (This is my brother Jared’s last week of college before he graduates, so he won’t be able to join us.) Tomorrow we are attending my cousin Ella’s wedding taking place in the Trinity Alps near my grandparent’s cabin. We’ve got a nice 5 hour drive into the mountains this evening once we arrive. Not looking forward to that. We’ve got several other things planned for our trip, but I’ll wait until I return to write about them.

We’ll be returning next Friday, and I will be starting at Barefoot on Monday the 11th. Can’t wait!
