Briefly

I wanted to write a quick briefing of what I’ve been up to, since I haven’t gotten around to posting about several different things.

The biggest reason for the lack of posts is the fact that I have been working on a re-design of this site. I have been very indecisive during this process and just yesterday decided to scrap my almost complete design for something almost completely different. I’m pretty sure I’ve got a winner now, so it shouldn’t be too long now before it goes live.

I also wanted to mention a new code editor called Intype that I have been trying out. It is still an alpha release of the product, but I am really starting to enjoy its simplicity and ease of use. I have mainly been using it for my re-design efforts as well as some client work. The application’s inspiration comes from the Mac’s uber-popular TextMate application, filling a void for us like-it-or-not Windows users. The final version will cost somewhere under $40 and will probably be worth it.

A couple weekends ago we saw 300 at the theater. The film is based on Frank Miller’s graphic novel “300″, a story of the Battle of Thermopylae that took place between the Spartans and Persians in 480 B.C. I had planned on writing a more detailed post about it because I thought it was a real work of art, but instead I just want to say that you NEED to see it because it is bad-ass.
