“Opera Software today announced the worldwide release of Opera Mini, the full Web browser that runs on almost every mobile phone, including low- and mid-end handsets. Today’s global launch follows the trials of Opera Mini in the Nordics and in Germany during the fall of 2005, which resulted in a user base of over one million people.”

Intel based Macs show up early.

As expected, Stevie J has dropped some impressive new Apple products on us @ MacWorld San Fran. The most impressive being the Intel Duo Core iMacs and MacBooks. All benchmarks claiming to be at least 2x as fast as the G5 predecessor.

In addition to the Intel machines are iLife, iWork, and .mac software upgrades. Also an FM tuner for the iPod (i thought i bought an iPod so i didn’t have to listen to the radio anymore). Check everything out @ Apple’s website. I’m sure they’ll have a video posted later of Steve’s keynote presentation.

Google Pack

Google releases Google Pack, a free colletion of what they believe to be essential software. This is a great package to install on a new computer. It also includes an updater to automatically keep your software up to date.

The Pack includes Google branded Google Earth, Google Desktop, Picasa, Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer, and a Google Pack Screensaver. In addition to those applications they have included Adobe Reader 7, Ad-Aware SE Personal, Norton Antivirus 2005 Special Edition(6-month subscription)
